The Aurora - Sculpture

I present to you my entry for s contest! This is Aurora, a wise, very old being and keeper of the Norhtern Lights. She is one of the first of her kind - the Masked, guardians of our planet.  

Aurora took veeery long time to make, some 30 hours+ but boy was she fun! What can I say, Im obsessed with details, the more the merrier!  

Everything on this fella is made out of clay, every scale rolled and attached by hand, many times more than once because I wasnt happy how it turned out in the first place. The crystal ball is a blue-shifting glass bead (not made by me) with strikes of purple, yellow and green depending on how the light hit it - it represent a aurora borealis as goiku told me she like them, and I picked the color of both the crystal ball and the seal on Auroras forehead based on goikus fave color. ^^


Completely handmade (except the ball) out of super sculpey and tin foil, painted with acryllics. 

Height: 16,5 cm (6,5 inches)
