Silent (Hill) Carousel - Sculpture by Escaron Silent (Hill) Carousel - Sculpture by Escaron
Inspired by "Happy Carousel" in Silent Hill 3 here is now fiiiinally the finished sculpture of my merry-go-round-horror-horse. Took its time alright. His name is Bob, and he likes to hang around. :dummy:

This was really fun to do as I love the macabre, but it was also dead scary - not because the horse keep starring at me with its only eye - but since Ive never sculpted or painted flesh and blood and stuff before. Think it turned out okay although annoying enough my camera has distorted the colors but oh well, I suck at PS so I will just let it be. :D

Silent Carousel Horse is made on a wire and tin foil armature, covered in super sculpey and painted with acrylic. Totally handmade.

Lenght: 25cm
Height: 15cm

 You're so talented, the pleasure is mine to watch you! :la: I have a TON of feathers from our pets (we have an aviary with peacocks, ducks, chickens, guinea hens, etc.) If I can stash some in the package for you (sending Thursday) to use on your tarantulas I will. Hopefully nobody will notice! ;) Guinea hen feathers are black spotted white! :D

I actually like creepy over cute too. I just haven't made art of it ^^; I'll view others' art instead! I'm intimidated to make some I guess, I have such a "normal animal" reputation I don't know how well the creepy things will be taken!

Now I dont know how to respond. You just made me super happy!!! Thank you so much!!! Even if you cant manage to get some feathers (dont want anybody noticing and be angry ;)) it mean super much that you wanna do it! I can even make you a lill spider (wich your feathers maybeh) as thanks! ^^ It would take a good while probably becaue I simply have SO much at my hands right now that I dont even know where to start. Managing both a tavern job (from wich they call almost non stop asking if I wanna work) and several sculpt comissions that has piled up and other projects and gifts I owe and wuuuaaah so much to do, so little time to do it~ but eventually you would get it. :D

I completely understand! And the animals you make are so wonderful and amazing~ I saw a little newt/lizzard that youd made and it was so amazingly beautiful and so are your spiders and dragons and turtles and all the animals you make! You are so insanely great with painting! You can watch my creepy art if you feel the need. :giggle: I dont do it super often, I love to do it more - Im kinda lost when it come to the macabre, I think its so facinating and cool and even beautiful so even if people wont like it I cant keep from making it XD, but I blend my gallery with more normal stuff as well so then all can be happy. :dummy: In the future it will be at least 2 more creepy sculpts that I know of and have planned to make. Now I just need the time for it.....

Stuffed a variety of feathers into the package and it's on the way! Hope it arrives soon! I gave you rooster, emu, pheasant, guinea hen, and peacock. :3 If you want more just ask, I have a lot of feathers I don't use anymore and I want them to go to good use. You don't have to make me anything in return! I like to help other artists so as long as they inspire you to create stuff I'm happy! :D Wow you have a really demanding job, makes any free time very precious. Make the most of it and make epicness! :la:

Awww thanks! I'm happy to watch you! I can stalk your gallery until you make new things when you have time. :D I so want to create my creepy ideas now, even if they may be a bit...disturbing! They're similar to your creepy carousel horse and all that fun bone and musculature detail. Oooh two new creepers? Can I get a hint on what they'll be? ;)

Oh my thank you SO much!!! Do you own all these birds yourself? I would love to get feathers from you whenever you have some over (I pay the shipping of course!) I collect feathers whenever I can, even when finding outside. Once I even found a dead swan on a shore (well, there was nothing left of the bird, only a skeleton and all the feathers) and them I collected as well. ^^ And I still wanna make you something! So you cant say no to it. Nanana~ :nana: XD

Myeeah my job is veeery demanding and hectic and I dont like it really (but I wouldnt like any job since I just wanna be creative all the time. :giggle:). But Im super happy to have it, because we have the highest unemployment rate in the whole of europe here in Sweden, so Im super lucky to have one at all, even if Im not hired with a contract, only are sent in when they need me.

I have so many sculpts lying around now that I dont even know were to begin. :faint: And dolls, I have so many dolls, but no bodys for them, because I cant make patterns and sew. Hahaha.
Weeeell one is another of my carousel horses, a brother to the other dude (a commission) he will be similar but with a different pose. And the second one is a... eeeh.... I cant describe that being.... its a mutant between different species. :D

:meow: You're welcome! Yes we own most of them, I live on a hobby farm where all the rescued birds and animals are pets. I collect the feathers on the ground after they've molted. Oh cool a swan! Bone collector me would be picking up bones & all LOL. X3 Aww okay surprise me then! :wow:

:o Sweden has the highest unemployment rate of the UK? That's awful! Sorry you're stuck with a crappy job...but you're right, better than no job. Even with jobs so few people still find time and money to go to taverns lol. :P I don't have a normal job, "full time artist", but I'm also dirt poor and living with my parents so it's just trading one thing for another. X3

Oh so cool, dolls! Do you collaborate with other artists? Sewing is really hard but if you can find a good plushy maker to collab with they could make dolls bodies easy. I've collaborated before with trades, interesting to do. :) YES another skeleton muscle carousel horse! Love that guy, can't wait to see another. Mutants are totally cool, most of my original characters are 'mixed up' people and critters. Lots of awesome to be made it sounds like! Hope you get the time to make them!
