My Spiritual Companion

Ehum, this is a drawing... Im really not a person that draw... I seriously dont get anathomy on paper, its SO hard. XD So why is this pic here then?
Because its my last minute entry for awesome competition in wich we had to design our own spiritual companion!


So everybody, say hi to my companion Corona. He/she (is androgyn - but I will use "he") is a being that was decided to follow me through this lifetime on earth. Corona was born the same day I was, and has grown older through the years just as Ive grown, he will also meet his end when my life here is over. If by old age, sickness, accident etc, we are linked and when I die so will he. I am the only one who can see him and he is always there when I need him, both in sad and happy times. Corona is rather playful and love to trott along by my side when I take long walks in the forest. He likes it best in nature where he can be free. (But my bed is also a place he likes to occupy, and then I almost wont fit. )


SPECIFIC INFO:
+ Corona is somewhat a blend between stag, owl, cat, human and moth.
+ Is as big as a stag/horse - about 1,60 to his shoulders
+ His mask is directly linked to my soul and it will change in color and shift depending on how I feel and what mood Im in. The mask can go all the way from pitch black to bright white but often is a palete of swirling colors.
+ The humanlike hand-outgrowths to his wings can be used just like any hands. He can also use them as a second pair of arms to gain more speed when running.
+ He is as intelligent as any human, even somewhat smarter
+ He likes art and watching when I play video-games and sculpt ^^
+ And he can speak to me via telepathy


Why this design?
I designed him like this because he is a little part of creatures I really like. Creaures you can find where I live. He also represent the love for nature and freedom I feel - wich is most important for me in life. His mask (no face or eyes) show sides of myself in more than one way - I have a visual/sight problem since birth wich is so rare that no doctors know what it is, but it make me go blind for periods if I strain/use my eyes to much, I always see a filter of shadows and swirling dots of black/white/gray, making it hard to "function" as required in society, but its totally okay, Im happy and thankful for what I have - this design represent that. Also the fact that I never take heed of how people look, a pretty face is just that - what I care about is peoples insides, their hearts and souls. ^^ The mask also represent how I kinda "hide behind a mask" in real life, not showing whom I truly am, but the colors on Coronas mask is like my insides going visual - so what I hide, Corona show. Last is that I most always wear black; clothes, make-up, dyed hair, Im like a shadow and I like it, but I LOVE colors, sparkling, rainbows, glittering, Corona show that when I wont.


Made traditionally with color pencils. Im planing to sculpt him in the future! (When time allows. Hehe)
